“Bill Nye Saves the World” Now on Netflix

Disclosure: I’ve joined the Netflix #StreamTeam and have been compensated for writing this post.

We’ve been watching Bill Nye, the Science Guy recently. Netflix has a collection of Disney’s classic show that millions of adults fell in love with as children back in the 1990s. It makes my heart feel light to not only watch these episodes again but to also see my now 4-year-old son enjoy watching them too. Mr. Dude loves the show so much he literally called Bill Nye his “pretend Daddy.”

He’s got a new show, a Netflix Original, called Bill Nye Saves The World. It’s set up like a talk show and is aimed at a predominantly older crowd than the original. The series has an initial run of 13 episodes. The show is admittedly not perfect, but I still love it.

More about the show from Netflix:

Bill Nye – the Emmy-nominated host, educator, engineer, and curator of curiosity – returns with a new show that tackles topics from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims. But the revelations are real, Bill reminds us, as he neutralizes falsehoods and boosts the truth: “It’s not magic – it’s science!” Each episode of Bill Nye Saves the World entertainingly and enthusiastically dives into a specific topic or concept through lively panel discussions, wide-ranging special correspondent reports and Bill’s very special blend of lab procedure and genuine persona. Equipped with inquisitiveness, chemical-resistant gloves, and his beloved bow ties, Bill’s a magnetic force that’s hard to resist.

Have you seen the show yet? What do you think?
