I happened across Gnome Alone on Netflix this morning. I didn’t know what to expect when I started watching it. Having seen no previews or reviews previously I went into it cold. This movie was an unexpected gem. I loved it.
The animation was theatrical quality and the storyline imaginative. I felt myself feeling for the pink-haired girl right from the beginning. I too moved around a lot as a kid while my parents did whatever they could to make ends meet. Making friends wasn’t easy and I wasn’t the best at fitting in with the crowd.
If you haven’t seen it yet make sure you do. It’s a family-friendly flick. The monsters are storybook scary, but not anything I’m worried my little ones of 1 and 5 would be bothered by seeing. The movie isn’t perfect, but I did really enjoy it. Here’s a sneak peek below if you want to know what you’re getting into before diving in head first.
