Halloween will soon be upon us. The arrival of October means the arrival of spooky TV in my household. Here is a collection of TV episodes on rotation via Netflix at our house with a Halloween (or Halloween compatible) theme. What ones are your favorite? Did I leave anything off the list?

You’re a hard worker, Joel. Many people admire that about you, but you don’t take care of yourself enough. Get more sleep. Watch your diet. Those will be helpful things to focus on now in order to avoid some future issues.
Netflix will debut “Bill Nye Saves the World" in the Spring of 2017. It will be a show that explores the impact of science on politics, society, and pop culture. Each episode is set to tackle a specific topic from a scientific point of view. The end goal is to dispell myths and refute anti-scientific claims. Many such claims are expressed quite loudly by various politicians, religious leaders, and titans of industry. I can't wait.
The latest installment of Denny's Breakfast Stuff Network has me geeking out. Pancake, from The Grand Slams, spent about a half hour on a live video stream doing questions & answers with fans while also giving away some rad Denny's swag.
My small family right now is almost perfect. I am amazed at the little person my son has become. He...
Yes we had breakfast for dinner. I am not ashamed to say so. In all honesty, I love eating breakfast at all times of the day and night. The delicious new Denny's Diner pancake stacks are 50 percent more fluffy than the old recipe. I can totally believe this having seen and tasted them first hand.
Remember when I got to go visit Dreamworks Animation studios? Beyond seeing Voltron I got to meet with the awesome creative team behind Dreamworks Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh.
...and found out we are officially expecting baby number two! We had an ultra sound at the doctor's office today and heard the baby's heartbeat.
Everything this a preschooler does or experiences can be dramatic at times but this episode was different. There was an exhibited fear that I'd never seen before in Mr. Dude. He was more than uncomfortable. He was deeply frightened. I don't know if there was a spider back there or not, but to him there was a spider back there on the window. The truth for him was that what may have in reality been dirt on the window was out to get him.
Mr. Dude colored in his brand new coloring book and Abigail and I got to talk through out most of breakfast. It was glorious. Oh, and the food was great too. I had biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, some apples and a few bites of Mr. Dude's leftover pancakes. The best part? I didn't have to do the dishes afterwards. All I had to do was pay and leave a tip!
My extended family has some stories. Not all of them are the funny, light hearted things you might want to...
When a baby is born, a dad is born. I became a father just over three years ago. Mr. Dude's arrival into the world changed my life in ways I had never anticipated.
While on the DreamWorks campus we were ushered into a theater where we got to not only watch the first three episodes, but do a Q & A with executive producer Joaquim Dos Santos (The Legend of Korra, Avatar: The Last Airbender) and co-executive producer Lauren Montgomery (The Legend of Korra).
We said goodbye for the last time to Phoebe this morning, June 9th. She will be deeply missed in our home.
I remember when the original Independence Day movie was released in 1996. I watched that movie at least a 100 times once it hit VHS. You read that right, my first copy of the flick was on those old tapes.
Netflix invited me to visit the DreamWorks campus in Burbank, CA and I was happy to accept the invitation earlier this month.
I love my wife. She’s amazing. Life hasn’t exactly been fair to her, but she keeps an amazingly positive attitude...
Mr. Dude loves the color pink. He’s also a fan of cupcakes. Who isn’t? We made some pink cupcakes on a recent Saturday while “Mom mom” was on a trip. Here’s a video to prove it: I am aware of the fact that the cupcakes looked terrible. I’m not...
There are days that I don't leave the house. This intentional choice to be a homebody for days at a time is not the result of some traumatic experience or a lack of will power to journey out into the world. Preschoolers, man. I blame it on the one in my house. I love my kid, but sometimes it is just easier to stay home or take a walk to the park than it is to load the car up and head out into retail America.
My son loves this new show on PBS Kids called “Nature Cat.” It’s made by WTTW in Chicago and has been gaining...
