Salt In My Soul is an emotional and worthwhile film for anyone interested in a deeply relational journey.

Shelter-in-place has presented itself in various levels of difficulty for everyone. My family spent the better part of the last three months in a small two-bedroom apartment without a yard. Our income, like that of many, has taken a dive. The boys (3 & 7) have a lot of energy and our oldest has had schoolwork to do every day. The journey keeps evolving.
I have moments in my life that feel, very suddenly, as if I’m looking back or reliving a memory long passed.

I’d wanted to start a podcast of my own for years, but never took steps to do it myself. Thanks to my phone, Adobe Audition, WordPress, and the Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin I started one.

...and found out we are officially expecting baby number two! We had an ultra sound at the doctor's office today and heard the baby's heartbeat.
It hit me for the first time as I sat there in the waiting room of a medical diagnostics location a few blocks from my work. Abigail was in the back room getting blood work done to confirm what we already knew. The signs were all there. We couldn't ignore what was happening and simply hope the best would prevail. It wasn't going to get better or fix itself if we just gave it more time.
I love to spend quality time with my little family. I'd rather spend a Friday night at the drive-in or a Saturday at the park with them than get any gift. Physical gifts are great, but in the long run they wear out. Memories can last forever when written down and shared. I've always preferred experiences over things. They make me happiest. Its important for families to get moving and spend quality time together, especially during the sunny summer time. We don't get easy winters in Chicago often so those sunny summer months are key. Made from nutritious and wholesome ingredients, KIND snacks are a perfect fit for our family and help to fuel our journeys.
The world is a rough place. People who should be able to get along often don't get along at all. Bosses often look out for what is best for themselves and take advantage of their subordinates. Gun owners oppose any talk of reasonable regulations based off of the empty argument of "freedom." These things and countless more cause unnecessary pain and suffering to others.
Thanks for the rocky start. I hope this means you’ve got some seriously good stuff waiting for me later on...
Religion can be such a divisive thing. I am struggling with how (or even if) I want to introduce and integrate religion into my son’s early life.
