There's been a lot of excitement around my house recently. Not all of it has to do with the arrival of baby number two. Netflix has released two new(ish) series and a second season to two of my favorite shows on the service. These fours shows are what we've been watching this month on Netflix.
I have partnered with Life of Dad and Idahoan® Foods for this campaign. All opinions are my own. Chicago winters...
We're huge Netflix fans around here. It's on at our house every week. When they announced 10 ways to countdown to 2017 I had to watch them all.
The largest claim in recent history was $2.2 million in 2015. What might you get?
No Gilmore Girls binge watch event experience would be complete without a full array of takeout menu flavors. Looking for suggestions? I've put some together for you...
Our family was invited to see Ringling Bros: Out Of This World at the All State Arena last week. It was the first time attending the circus so our expectations were high. The outing did not disappoint.
My wife, Mr. Dude and I attended Boo! at the Zoo this past weekend and had a blast. We got to wear the Angry Birds costumes Abigail made and Mr. Dude was so proud of wearing. We are members of the Brookfield Zoo but, honestly, wouldn't have attended the event (or even known about it) without the generous invite to it by the Ferrara Candy Company for the invite.
Halloween has arrived! Here is a collection of Halloween-themed movies on Netflix we're picking from tonight.
Halloween will soon be upon us. The arrival of October means the arrival of spooky TV in my household. Here is a collection of TV episodes on rotation via Netflix at our house with a Halloween (or Halloween compatible) theme. What ones are your favorite? Did I leave anything off the list?
You’re a hard worker, Joel. Many people admire that about you, but you don’t take care of yourself enough. Get more sleep. Watch your diet. Those will be helpful things to focus on now in order to avoid some future issues.
Netflix will debut “Bill Nye Saves the World" in the Spring of 2017. It will be a show that explores the impact of science on politics, society, and pop culture. Each episode is set to tackle a specific topic from a scientific point of view. The end goal is to dispell myths and refute anti-scientific claims. Many such claims are expressed quite loudly by various politicians, religious leaders, and titans of industry. I can't wait.
The latest installment of Denny's Breakfast Stuff Network has me geeking out. Pancake, from The Grand Slams, spent about a half hour on a live video stream doing questions & answers with fans while also giving away some rad Denny's swag.
Yes we had breakfast for dinner. I am not ashamed to say so. In all honesty, I love eating breakfast at all times of the day and night. The delicious new Denny's Diner pancake stacks are 50 percent more fluffy than the old recipe. I can totally believe this having seen and tasted them first hand.
Remember when I got to go visit Dreamworks Animation studios? Beyond seeing Voltron I got to meet with the awesome creative team behind Dreamworks Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh.
Mr. Dude colored in his brand new coloring book and Abigail and I got to talk through out most of breakfast. It was glorious. Oh, and the food was great too. I had biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, some apples and a few bites of Mr. Dude's leftover pancakes. The best part? I didn't have to do the dishes afterwards. All I had to do was pay and leave a tip!
When a baby is born, a dad is born. I became a father just over three years ago. Mr. Dude's arrival into the world changed my life in ways I had never anticipated.
While on the DreamWorks campus we were ushered into a theater where we got to not only watch the first three episodes, but do a Q & A with executive producer Joaquim Dos Santos (The Legend of Korra, Avatar: The Last Airbender) and co-executive producer Lauren Montgomery (The Legend of Korra).
I remember when the original Independence Day movie was released in 1996. I watched that movie at least a 100 times once it hit VHS. You read that right, my first copy of the flick was on those old tapes.
Netflix invited me to visit the DreamWorks campus in Burbank, CA and I was happy to accept the invitation earlier this month.
There are days that I don't leave the house. This intentional choice to be a homebody for days at a time is not the result of some traumatic experience or a lack of will power to journey out into the world. Preschoolers, man. I blame it on the one in my house. I love my kid, but sometimes it is just easier to stay home or take a walk to the park than it is to load the car up and head out into retail America.
