Just when I thought I’d never meet a Windows PC I could love using, I met the Toshiba Satellite Radius™ 12. It’s sleek and light design make it ultra portable and easy to handle. The 12.5-inch diagonal IPS touchscreen display has a native 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) resolution that has four times as many pixels as a Full HD display. The Technicolor-certified wide gamut RGB display supports 100% Adobe® RGB color space reproduction and is absolutely gorgeous.

The new Windows Hello feature in Windows 10 is on full display with the Satellite Radius™ 12. Just set up the facial recognition sign-in and you won’t ever have to input a password to sign into your PC again. It recognizes your face and lets you in with just a glance. You can also require a slight look to the left and right if you prefer.

The Satellite Radius™ 12 started from a dead power off to login screen in between 5-7 seconds in my unscientific tests.

My wife has adopted the laptop as her default travel PC. She travels for a living and spends a lot of time away from home as a flight attendant. The 2.9 pounds and slim 0.6-inch profile that make up Satellite Radius™ 12 fit perfectly into her busy on the go lifestyle. The built-in Wireless-AC with backward capabilities lets my wife connect to wi-fi no matter what standard (new or old) is used.

The damage resistant touch screen is made of Gorilla Glass and the keyboard is LED backlit for easy use in low light situations. The 360-degree precision hinge features five unique viewing modes that give the perfect view for every occasion: Laptop, Tablet, Tabletop, Presentation, and Audience. I’m a big fan of the Presentation mode myself. It makes for easy product demo video viewing in meetings at the office (movie watching at your desk, *wink*). Surfing the net is a breeze with it too as the touchscreen is super responsive.

The laptop supports DirectX® 12 and is powered by a 6th Gen Intel Core processor. It features a Brushed Metal Finish in Carbon Gray and it addicting to use. We’ve used it in conjunction with our Roku TV more than once to stream movies and television shows to our living room’s big screen without issue.

Looking to purchase or demo the device? It is on most Best Buy store shelves now and should reach stores who don’t have it in stock by October 28, 2015. Or you can skip the trip to the store and order it via my Best Buy affiliate link right now: http://joelg.us/ts12

Have you tried out or purchased this PC? What did you think? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
