I started writing this series the morning I got an email from my son’s school issuing a notice saying that the schools would be closed for at least two weeks (but likely longer) due to the current Covid-19 outbreak. Many parents are in the same spot. This is why I’m doing this.

Each day I’ll share a simple activity that you can do with your kids that will help pass the time. Sometimes these with be educational. Sometimes these activities will be family projects. Sometimes they will simply be entertainment options.

If you want to add some ideas to the list please do so in the comments.

You can see the full list of activities (updated daily through-out the 30 day series) at DaddysGrounded.com/30days/

Day Twenty Six: Doctor Who Activities

I fell in love with Doctor Who years ago when David Tennant was the Doctor. Since then I’ve fallen in love with each incarnation of the Doctor since. Thanks to streaming services like BritBox I’ve caught up on many of the classic Doctor Who seasons as well.

The next season of Doctor Who is who knows how far away because of this Covid19 thing and how the BBC doesn’t produce shows on a strict schedule. However, they have launched a free new weekly feature on their blog called Staying in the TARDIS. Here are some details:

There’s amazing things out there in the universe, but life at home can be an adventure too. Each week, as part of Staying in the TARDIS there will be fun challenges to do at home – activities such as recipes, printable colouring sheets, word searches from the vortex and much more!

StayingInTheTardis.com

Explore the Doctor Who universe from your own home at StayingInTheTARDIS.com! Don’t forget to check it every week for new challenges, stories, activities and more.
