LEGO DC Super Heroes: The Flash is an entertaining family comic movie. I understood many of the jokes as a non-comic fan. There were several that went right over my head too. New and seasoned fans of LEGO and DC Comics will enjoy this new flick.
I'd never heard of the Bruce Coville's book series until this movie crossed my path. And I was only interested in seeing it because William Shatner voices one of the aliens. Now I'm glad I have been introduced to the Aliens Ate My Homework universe.
This award-winning animated family film from Disney/Pixar is one of my favorite releases in recent memory. I went to see the film in theaters without having seen a single preview or knowing anything about the storyline. I left the theater knowing I had to get the film the moment it was released on digital and Blu-ray. […]
The all new Woody Woodpecker movie is out on DVD, & Digital now. It is a hilarious revisiting of a classic cartoon personality in a modern format. My, nearly 5-year-old, son has seen it at least a billion times since we got it on DVD. This is a family-friendly comedy I’d recommend to anyone who is […]
This week is the week the Dad 2.0 Summit meets in New Orleans, LA for the second time. I am so excited about it I can hardly wait. I look forward to attending the conference every year. Why? I was skeptical about the Trolls movie before I saw it the first time. I then fell in love with the whole idea (music and all) once I saw it. Dreamworks found a magic formula that worked with audiences around the globe. I think they've done it again with the new animated series on Netflix. Just take a look at the opening credits...
One of the things that got me through those first several months each go around was an understanding that I didn't completely understand what my sons were going through.
Disclosure: I’ve joined the Netflix #StreamTeam and have been compensated for writing this post. I was often told that I could do anything I wanted when I grew up. Then I found out college and its associated costs would make this endeavor more difficult than I had imagined. Netflix, fortunately, makes it easy to get […]
I’d wanted to start a podcast of my own for years, but never took steps to do it myself. Thanks to my phone, Adobe Audition, WordPress, and the Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin I started one.
