Stan’s Donuts and Fannie May collaborate on Trinidad-inspired chocolate donut, now available through March 10 to fuel city’s birthday celebrations

Two homegrown heavyweights in Chicago’s sweets scene are teaming up to mark the city’s 189th birthday with a new, ultra-indulgent treat: a limited-edition Fannie May Trinidad-inspired chocolate donut from Stan’s Donuts & Coffee.​

Rolling out just in time for Chicago’s March 4 birthday, the donut is available now through March 10 at all standalone Stan’s locations and at select Fannie May shops on weekends, giving locals a nearly monthlong window to taste the collaboration. The Trinidad spin comes through in a chocolate yeast Bismark packed with rich chocolate cream, then dipped in toasted coconut white chocolate, echoing the classic Fannie May Trinidad candy that has been a Chicago favorite for generations.

The special is more than a one-and-done sugar rush: each donut comes with a coupon for a future Fannie May visit, encouraging fans to keep exploring the city’s deep chocolate roots long after the birthday candles are blown out.
