I have moments in my life that feel, very suddenly, as if I’m looking back or reliving a memory long passed.

Other times I’m in the midst of a moment and think “This is something you’ll never want to forget. Cherish this.” Then that moment is gone all too hurriedly.

I worry about the future. About my death. Where my children will be. If I will have grandchildren and what their lives and loves might be like in the context of this big wide world of chaos and unpredictability.

What if this life I’m living has already been lived and I am in fact an outside observer reliving it like Picard in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode Inner Light

Where will humanity go in the future? Will we make it to Mars and beyond our solar system one day? Will Earth be lost? Will all of human kind perish before we are able to escape the exploding of our sun in the distant future or will the end come much sooner due to those in power here on earth abdicating their responsibilities of planet wide protection and restoration efforts?

These questions are big and span both millennia and fleeting moments. It is more to take in and process than is possible for a single mind.

So I will continue to question, fear, enjoy, and move on one moment at a time.

It is all I can do.
