Disclosure: This is a sponsored post, in conjunction with Little Remedies. I’ve received compensation for the creation and sharing of this post. All opinions are my own.

I was clueless when I first became a dad. My childcare experience consisted of knowing that dropping a baby is bad and how to make peanut butter & jelly sandwiches.  The first diaper I ever changed was Mr. Dude’s on the day he was born. I’d “watched” my nephews once or twice, but never for over an hour and always with the assistance of a television. Children in general have always liked me. I’ve just never understood how to talk with them. Mr. Dude listens to me when I talk. He often ignores what I say or laughs and then does what he wants, but he listens when it really counts. Somehow he knows when it really does matter and when I can take it or leave it.

Those early days of parenthood are in the not so distant past but seem like yesterday. I can hardly believe that Mr. Dude is almost two years old. When he had been in this world only a few weeks I went through a serious 24/7 bootcamp of sleepless nights, dirty diapers and drug store runs. I got the wrong kind of gas drops and fever reducers on more than one occasion. I remember wishing there was a care package or kit for new parents that would save me those needless trips. Thankfully for those recently entering the parenthood Little Remedies has put together just that sort of kit!

Little Remedies® has a New Baby Essentials Kit that I wish I had when I first became a parent. Everything one needs to safely and effectively relieve a baby’s most common symptoms. The kit includes:

  • Infant Fever/Pain Reliever
  • Soothing Syrup
  • Saline Drops
  • Gripe Water
  • Gas Relief Drops
  • Nasal Aspirator

The gas relief drops from Little Remedies were our most used item on the list. Mr. Dude often woke up at night crying and the gas relief drops let him fall asleep again. It allowed him to relax and us to get a bit of shut eye. You can find the kit in stores now as well as each of these items individually. Don’t have little ones at home? Get the kit for someone who does. You’ll both be happy you did.
