Amerika, I’m Disappointed In You…

I believed better of Amerika back in 2024. I didn't love Harris as a candidate, but knew then (and now) that she was the far better choice to Trump. The shock has turned into fear, then numbness, and now it is birthing rage.

Halloween is on its way and has me thinking about all of the frightening moments I’ve dealt with as a parent with my littles… and diapers. If you’ve ever been a parent, babysitter, or caregiver in general for little ones you know the fear. While on a road trip I wonder how long the nap will last or if a leaky diaper will ruin the sense of peace in the car with a reprehensible smell. Worse yet is the explosive diaper that can occasionally happen while on a playground if the kids are having fun and everyone is too busy to remember to check on that diaper often enough. Oh, and potty training. It is only worth it when they are ready, right?! We’ve recently moved. Not far from our old place. It’s just a few towns over in another Chicago burb. Theo, our one-year-old, is in diapers. He’s started to show interest in potty training. That means the wood floors and tile all over the new place are awesome. Accidents are not much of a fear because the clean up isn’t too bad when we practice diaper free time. We got a new couch a couple days ago. My current fear as a parent of a young child in diapers is that this new beautiful item of furniture will have an accident on it. One of those unexpected, “Didn’t I just change you?” kind of accidents. He’s so happy when he’s on it though.

While all these parenting scares can’t be escaped, I like to keep extra diapers and wipes on hand. It doesn’t hurt to be prepared. Lately, I’ve been buying Pampers at Sam’s Club to can help avoid running out of and paying too much for diapers and wipes. The instant savings and FREE SHIPPING on both make it even better.
