Disney launched their long anticipated streaming service today in the U.S. with a few hiccups along the way. Many have been looking forward to this for month. My family included. And to be clear, this is in no way a sponsored post. It’s just me sharing a bit.

That being said, and before I get to the list you should know about a few deals still going on if you’ve not yet sign-up for Disney+. Verizon is offering a free year of the streaming service to customers on certain plans. There is also a Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ bundle out there, but it has some limits. You can also pay $70 for a year for the Disney+ streaming service instead of the standard $6.99 a month (almost $84 a year).

Movies

Opening night we’ve started the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. All five movies are on Disney+ right now.

Basically everything Pixar is on Disney+. Yes, I’ve seen almost all of them, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m so very happy right now. I own less than half of them on physical media.

Yes, I may like Star Trek more than Star Wars (fight me), but I am happy to see so many Star Wars movies in one place without the need to swap discs. The Skywalker Saga currently includes Episodes I – VII in 4K. Other movies already on the service include Rogue One and Solo along with several LEGO branded flicks. The Last Jedi is expected to be added to the service at a later date. The same can be said of the upcoming The Rise of Skywalker film. You can see everything Star Wars on the service as of today listed on StarWars.com.

Marvel has a large presence on the service. There are several missing films though due to various movie distribution rights issues that should be cleared up in 2020.

Many of the new & classic Disney movies are also on the service as of today. There are several new Disney+ originals too including the Lady and the Tramp remake. I can’t wait to dig into those (specifically the Out of the Vault section) in the near-ish future.

TV

I’ve never seen a single Simpsons episode. I’ve only ever seen clips. Now that I’m sign-up for Disney+ I have access to 30 seasons and a movie! This is going to take a while, but I’m ready for it.

Darkwing Duck is one I used to catch every Saturday morning I could.

DuckTales (the original 1980s one) is on the service as well as the more recent one voiced by David Tenant.

Boy Meets World is on Disney+. I remember watching this back in the day. Wonder if its as entertaining as I remember.

I’m obviously curious about The Mandalorian, but I’m also starting to suffer fatigue from the large number of Star Wars productions flooding the market in the last few years.

This list is not a comprehensive list like this one from CNet. Or on the website or in the app you can see All Originals, All Series A-Z and All Movies A-Z. The Disney Through the Decades section is also cool to look through.

What are you most excited to see on Disney+ now or in the future? Let me know in the comments.
