“Mickey’s Nutcracker” (1991)

Minnie Mouse is hosting a Christmas party at her house. Pluto, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Tigger, and Rodger Rabbit are all at the party, along with some human neighbors Conrad, Tina, and Ethel. The party is a success and Minnie is too excited to sleep, when the clock strikes midnight Minnie’s Mickey Nutcracker suddenly come to life.

The adventure leads to song and dance numbers that are interrupted by the “Rat King”. Who was once a handsome prince who was put under an evil curse that can only be undone by sugar, but the rat king doesn’t like sugar? The adventure continues in the Enchanted Show flask Forest and Candyland – Where Goofy is the Mayer. Can they break the evil spell of the Rat King?

Until recently the only copy of this performance we had was a VHS recording (complete with commercials) from my wife’s childhood. It didn’t have the end of the performance though so I never knew how it ended! It was posted to YouTube a couple years ago and I finally got to see how it ends.
