We were invited guests of CMX Cinemas and want to share our experience with you.

The family and I got to visit the CMX Market Cinema in Skokie a few weeks ago. When they described it as “the preferred entertainment destination” I wasn’t sure what to expect. All I knew was that we’d get to go see “Ralph Breaks the Internet.” The visit and the movie turned out to be fanatstci.

CMX locations aren’t just theatres. They are a movie-going experience. There are two different theaters located at the Old Orchard Westfield Shopping Center offering two different experiences whether you are looking for a special afternoon with the family or a relaxing date night out! Yes, one is all ages and the other family-friendly. I realized this when we showed up at the 21+ location first and didn’t notice we were in the wrong spot until someone stopped us on our way to the escalators. Oops!

We, of course, all got popcorn and drinks. Age appropriately. We also each had different foods to try the menu spread:

Perfectly done burger with fresh cheese and crispy lettuce. The fries were crunchy. Just like I like ’em.
Theo got a slice of pizza. Made me wish I’d gotten one too.
Abigail got the poutine. Wes got the Italian Beef,
but he pretty much destroyed it before I got to take a picture. Ha!

Both locations feature state-of-the art digital technology and luxury seating.

  • Ever seen a movie in reclining seats with adjustable tabletops?
  • Had freshly made restaurant quality food prepared and brought to your seat?
  • Enjoyed a full-service bar often offer movie-themed cocktails?

CMX CinéBistro, the 21+ and up location, features a gourmet menu items including lamb lollipops, filet mignon and grilled salmon to crème brulee. It also has the Stone Bar, an upscale lounge surrounded with the latest technology in largescale LED screens.
