It has become a bit of a tradition for our family to see The Chicago Dogs play at Impact Field in Rosemont, IL every year. This summer has been no exception. We were able to take in a game, food, drink, and fireworks all in one night.

We arrived in time to find parking, get pickup our tickets from the will call window and find our seats before the first pitch. We didn’t however arrive early enough to get one of the super cute hats that were given away to the first in attendance. First bit of advice, if there is a giveaway the day of the game you are attending, make sure to show up early to make sure you get one.

The kids enjoyed hot dogs and dipndots. Wife had a cider and hot dog. I enjoyed a beer and nachos with jalapeños.

Baseball is a game with lots of things going on at once when things are happening. Then there are pauses in the game were not so much is going on. That’s when I find myself ignoring all the music/video clips on the billboards and watching the planes taking off from O’Hare. It’s really fun to do.

The show was surprisingly long. SkyWaitress and the kids loved it. I did too, but was distracted by the thought of how it must seem to drivers on the highway that passes the stadium to see fireworks right overhead!

There are home games this season happening through September so you’ve still got time to take in a couple of games. Head over to TheChicagoDogs.com for all the details and to purchase tickets.
