I got married a week before YouTube launched and over a year before the first iPhone was released to the public. Let that sink in for a minute. My world in 2006 was just starting to use Facebook (if one was lucky enough to be on a college campus who had access to it) and had personal digital assistants that looked like this.

Technology has come a long way since I was a groom and weddings have changed too. Instagram hashtags work alongside professional photographers as a way to capture a wedding’s every moment. Drones are affordable to the masses for those million dollar shots (and mishaps) and Pinterest overwhelms with thousands of ideas for every conceivable wedding theme. That explosion of options can make putting together a wedding registry on your own a monstrous undertaking. Best Buy, however, is making the wedding registry task easier than ever!

I’ve taken a few minutes to imagine what five items would top my current wedding registry list (or perhaps the 10-year anniversary I have coming up in the Spring) from BestBuy.com/Wedding might look like:

1.) The Barista Express 25-Shot Espresso Maker by Breville

Make espresso or an espresso-based beverage using this maker, which features a 15-bar Italian pump and 25-shot capacity for reliable performance. Low-pressure pre-infusion expands grinds gently to deliver even extraction.

2.) vívofit 2 Activity Tracker by Garmin

This Garmin vívofit 2 010-01503-00 activity tracker sets off an alarm after 1 hour of inactivity to help you stay active. Set daily step goals and monitor your fitness progress with the always-on backlit display.

3.) Bluetooth FM Dual-Alarm Clock Radio by iHome

Wake up and fall asleep to music with this iHome IBT29BC FM radio, which features a Bluetooth interface for wireless audio streaming from select Apple®, Android and Windows devices. Reson8 speaker chamber technology creates a lush soundscape.

4.) 55″ LED 1080p Smart HDTV with Roku TV by Insignia™

This smart TV puts thousands of streaming apps and services, including Netflix and Hulu Plus, at your fingertips with an easy-to-use remote. With intuitive menus, a personalized home screen and simple search features, finding the entertainment you want is hassle-free.

5.) Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy Bagless Upright Vacuum by Dyson

Reclaim your floors with this Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy 206033-01 upright vacuum, which features Cinetic science and a HEPA filtration system designed to be hypoallergenic. The 13.4″ cleaning path and edge cleaning help you pick up quickly.

One of the great things about the Best Buy Wedding Registry is that it includes Free Shipping with No Minimum purchase price. That means all five products listed above (and any listed on Best Buy’s Wedding Registry) ship for free no matter how big or small, expensive or affordable! Awesome, right? Group Gifting is equally as awesome. Wedding attendees can contribute an amount they are comfortable with to the couple and have it applied towards a more expensive item on the registry. This allows the attendees to not feel pressured to give more than they would like and the bride & groom to ask for items they really want no matter the price point. Dream big I say!

Getting married soon and need to start a wedding registry? Visit BestBuy.com/Wedding today and get started with a pre-populated list of everyday essentials or start from scratch and add exactly what you want.

Getting married soon (or not) I’d love to hear what five items would make it on to your Best Buy Wedding Registry if you made the list today. Leave your item list in the comments. Can’t wait to see what you come up with from the thousands of options available.
