Wallet. Keys. Phone. That’s all I used to need before leaving the house as a single man. I wouldn’t get locked out, be unable to buy a sandwich or call for help if my car (when I had one) broke down with these items.
I love breakfast. It is easily my favorite meal of the day. When I have it I feels great, but if I skip it my day typically drags. Just think of all the combinations of food there are our there… It’s amazing. Morning breakfasts for me often include cereal with milk and coffee with milk. […]
I went to a lot of concerts as a teen/young adult in the various beat up old cars I borrowed or owned. One of my favorites was a 1989 Ford Escort wagon. It was automatic, light blue and loud as all get out. I loved that crappy little car. The thing only lasted me two […]
Going to the movies with a baby can be a herculean task to say the least. One can only hope that he/she will stay asleep or be amused enough not to cry during the showing. Our four month old has not yet developed enough self control to stay occupied in a movie theater setting. Or […]
This summer has been one of the busiest summers Abigail and I as a couple have had since being married. We’ve had trips to the zoo, events with the extended family out of state, concerts, moving apartments, movie nights at the drive-in and so on. Having had a baby doesn’t seem to have lessened the […]
Ho.ly. Crap. I’ve been a dad for over four months now! Recently I’ve been thinking about all of the things I expected from fatherhood and comparing it to what the reality has been for me. None of these things are too serious, but several are amusing. Enough so that I thought I should share of […]
Fatherhood is something I am still getting used to, but seems to fit me well. Being a dad is incredible. Every day I have the ability to build a stronger bond with my son. I have a million choices to make about where I spend my time. The effects of those choices will be life […]
I’m a social media strategist and a daddy blogger in Chicago, IL. Several weeks ago Google sent out a call via Twitter for people interested in the Google Glass. The idea was to tell Google why you wanted to be a #GlassExplorer for Project Glass and attaching the If I Had Glass hashtag. I thought […]
Life moves at a break-neck-speed. There is always something to be done or someone to respond to. The only time I get to myself now is when I’m at the grocery store. It’s my safe space, but I’ll get to that in a second.
Wesley is more interactive than ever. He’s full of smiles and coos every day. I love this kid. He’s only 9 weeks old, but I think he’s awesome. I can’t wait til his sleep laughter turns into laughing while he’s awake. Wesley does it all the time.
