I remember when the original Independence Day movie was released in 1996. I watched that movie at least a 100 times once it hit VHS. You read that right, my first copy of the flick was on those old tapes. I later bought it on DVD after the tape wore out. These save the world against an alien invasion movies are the kind of story I eat up. The moment I heard there was a second movie coming out I was obviously ecstatic. Have you seen the trailer?

It makes me happy to see the return of Jeff Goldblum, Brent Spiner, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox and Bill Pullman. That continuing cast, along side a new set of talent, will hopefully make this sequel every bit as entertaining as the first. Denny’s Diner is also getting in on the action this time around. The ‘Red, White and Blue Slam,’ an all-American classic has been brought back in celebration of the movie and is featured on Denny’s ‘Red, White & Bacon’ menu. Their cast of their regular online show, The Grand Slams, are getting pretty excited about the upcoming movie’s release as well:
