We bought a car seat this week.

Whoa.

Abigail’s due date is only about 6 weeks away now and the car seat purchase only made it feel that much closer. I had a three day weekend this past weekend. It was great. I didn’t get to relax much because I got a crap ton of stuff done around the house. Well, our 1-bedroom apartment. There is not a lot of room at the place I call home. After this weekend though it has more room than it did before.

We moved some stuff to the garage, threw out some junk, donated the things worth reusing, setup some new shelving in the garage and did the laundry. We would have done the laundry part even if we weren’t nesting, but it is still something to be proud of accomplishing. We live on the third floor and the laundry room is on the first. That’s a lot of stairs with multiple loads of laundry.

Phoebe is getting a little nervous with all the shifting around of things. She knows when were are about to leave the house. Now she’s giving us the same look, but more intensely. The bags of little boy clothes given to us by Abigail’s sisters have taken over the living room as we sort and organize them. Phoebe’s not really fan. She got over it pretty quickly with a nap though.

There is plenty to do before the big day but, at least as of this weekend, we are getting started on making things ready!
