We're huge Netflix fans around here. It's on at our house every week. When they announced 10 ways to countdown to 2017 I had to watch them all.

My wife and I signed up for a trial of Netflix during the winter storm that shut down most of Chicago for a couple of days back in 2011. We were snowed in, had plenty of food and wanted to try something new. Five years later we're still using Netflix to pass the time with or without snow on the ground.

The Toshiba Satellite Radius™ 12 started from a dead power off to login screen in between 5-7 seconds in my unscientific tests. I love this PC.

I only recently realised what a fan of Simon Pegg I really am. Four of the six of these movies I only found out that he'd done thanks to Netflix. I can't pick a favorite but really enjoyed watching all of them. This list is a mix of adventure, hilariousness, seriousness, soul searching and a bit of violence. Don't watch these with the kids around, but make sure to enjoy them.

My son shows me by example that snacks consisting of strawberries and yogurt can be a highlight of an afternoon.
