Many of the things we do every day have the ability to end the successful (or not) run we've currently got going on in life.

Troomi Might Be Perfect for Your Family, But It Wasn’t for Mine

My son (5th grade) found a way to root the phone and remove most of the Troomi restrictions baring him from downloading apps like Roblox or surfing on the open web.

There are many reasons to stay home right now if at all possible. Or at the very least reasons to stay home as much as possible. The care I have for those in my life who are most vulnerable to COVID-19 have me staying home and only going out for essentials like food & needed medications. My father is in a nursing home. My mother is a teacher. My mother-in-law is a nurse. I stay home to help keep them safe. I stay home to stop the spread.

HELP STOP THE SPREAD OF THE NOVEL CORONAVIRUS
Protect Yourself and Others

Practice Social Distancing

Even if you feel well, stay at home as much as possible. In public, keep at least 6 feet distance from others. Avoid unnecessary appointments. Wash Your Hands.

Cover Your Cough

Cover your cough and sneezes. Use your elbow or a tissue. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Wash Your Hands.

Take Caution with New Yorkers At-Risk

Take special caution to avoid exposing the elderly and people with underlying health conditions. Avoid visiting those most at risk, call instead.  Offer help with groceries and other goods. Wash Your Hands.

Find out what more you can do at NY.gov/CoronaVirus

Are you aware that older adults and people who have serious underlying medical conditions like chronic lung disease, serious heart conditions, and diabetes are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19? If your parent or another relative is an older adult or has a serious underlying medical condition, they should be aware of preparations to take:

– Stay home if possible
– Avoid close contact with people who are sick
– Take everyday preventive actions: wash hands often and avoid touching face, nose, and eyes
– Have over-the-counter medicines, medical supplies (like tissues), and extra necessary prescriptions
– Have extra household items and groceries on hand
– Make a plan for what to do if they get sick
– Routinely clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that are touched often
– Consult with their healthcare provider if they have symptoms of COVID-19
