I started writing this series the morning I got an email from my son’s school issuing a notice saying that the schools would be closed for at least two weeks (but likely longer) due to the current Covid-19 outbreak. Many parents are in the same spot. This is why I’m doing this.
Each day I’ll share a simple activity that you can do with your kids that will help pass the time. Sometimes these with be educational. Sometimes these activities will be family projects. Sometimes they will simply be entertainment options.

Day Twenty: Cards Against Humanity – Family Edition
Cards Against Humanity: Family Edition is a new fill-in-the-blank comedy game that’s just like Cards Against Humanity, but it’s written for kids and adults to play together.
We’ve been working on it for over a year in consultation with child development experts and psychologists. Our plan was to surprise everyone with this in the fall, but we know a lot of families need something to do right now.
So today we’re posting a public beta of Cards Against Humanity: Family Edition for free, so you can print it at home and play it right now with your bored family. We’ll figure out how to make money on it later.

Is my kid going to have to say swear words?
The content is PG-rated and we play-tested it with families. We recommend flipping through the cards before playing to remove anything you don’t want in there. “Crap” and “boobies” is about as bad as it gets.

The game print options come in Large Card and Small Card editions. Only difference is the size of the cards. There are also regular and low-ink versions. These files come in PDF and can be save locally for reprinting later.
This is a new free beta game download for the public. Eventually they plan on selling it after this whole COVID19 thing is over (or this fall at select Targets for $25.) Whatever comes first.
