We’re Currently Binge Watching “The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Series” on Vudu

I’ve had more time at home recently to catch-up no shows I’ve not seen in a while or ever had a chance to finish. One of these shows is “The Big Bang Theory.” Thanks to Warner Bros. They sent us a digital download code for the series on Vudu and I can’t get enough of the show. We’re currently on season five of twelve!

The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Series now available for purchase on digital, DVD, and Blu-ray.

The show first aired in 2007 and ended its run in 2019. The main characters seem to get a lot of my world. The Star Trek jokes and guest star appearances are fantastic. I get most of the references to nerdom and find a majority of the show’s content hilarious. It is superbly easy to binge watch too because the episodes are only 18-22 minutes long.

The only way to see The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Series commercial free is to own it on Digital, Blu-ray & DVD. All individual seasons are available to purchase here: http://www.ownwbtv.com/?bigbangtheory. All seasons are also available to own at all major digital retailers; including iTunes, VUDU, Amazon Prime, and GooglePlay. DVD and Blu-ray (which include incredible extra features) can be purchased from all major retailers – including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy.

The show isn’t perfect though. It has its issues like much of modern entertainment on network TV. The show opens up its very first episode on a transphobic joke. There are ongoing jokes in the first few seasons that begin to mellow out later in regards to men coming on too strong to women that is, to say the least, distasteful. Body shaming in comedy is standard in sitcom comedy that is also included in this show. There is also a going joke dealing with a main character mental health that doesn’t need to be included. I do wish these elements of the show weren’t included. They are not overbearing, but they are there.

The introduction of new characters is done really well from season to season. Sometimes they start off thorny or off-putting, but they find their way into your heart. The use of throwback jokes in later seasons to earlier seasons are done fantastically well. I enjoy much of the set design too. There are so many hidden references and visual jokes on display if you just pay enough attention to catch them.

The Complete Series of this blockbuster comedy follows the hilarious trajectory of best friends Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper: geniuses in the lab and challenged in the real world. Yet both somehow manage to entangle themselves in wedded bliss: Leonard with his street-smart neighbor, Penny, and Sheldon, after a long courtship, with Amy, a successful neurobiologist. Across 12 universally beloved seasons, they and their friends—fellow scientist Howard, his adorable microbiologist wife, Bernadette, and astrophysicist bachelor Raj—attempt to solve quotidian conundrums posed by academia, family crises and video games while solving world-changing problems in physics. Proving, ultimately, that what matters most in the universe is fun, friendship and a well-founded theory. Oh, and a Nobel Prize would be nice.

From Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc., in association with Warner Bros.
