The Many Functions Of A Toddler’s Nose

A toddler’s nose is like a Swiss Army Knife. It has a multitude of uses. All of which are dependent on its working properly. Here are a few:
1.) Diaper distraction
Every time I try to change Mr. Dude’s diaper he wants to help by grabbing the diaper and throwing it off the changing table. That, as you can imagine, is less than ideal. This is where his nose takes over as a distraction from the diaper grabbing. Questions like “Where is your nose?” and “What sound does your nose make?” are asked repeatedly and in quick succession. Not sure what sound our toddler’s nose makes? It’s a honk that resembles a car horn or a rubber ducky when squeezed.
2.) Finger holder
After a hard afternoon of play your little one’s fingers need a rest. What better storage place is there for your child’s fingers than in their nose! It is warm, moist and sometimes contains hidden treasures!
3.) Teething alert system
Not sure when your kiddo is about to start teething? No worries. His or her nose will tell you. That cute little bump on your baby’s face will become all stuffy and runny and irritated as a warning. Teeth are incoming!
4.) Snore Hole
There is nothing cuter than a small child snoring. It is also something that lets me sleep well at night. When I hear Mr. Dude snoring I know he’s alive and still breathing. Plus, that gaping open mouth with a little drool makes for some great blackmail pictures for later on in life.
The sad part of life is that sometimes my son’s favorite toy (aka nose) sometimes malfunctions or just needs a little extra TLC. That’s where the Little Remedies Baby Stuffy Nose Kit comes into play. The included non-medicated nasal aspirator and saline spray helps to flush and remove mucus from his little nose. Works great on adult size noses too! Just don’t ask me how I know. *wink*
